The Central Florida BMW Association (CFBMW) is a group of German car enthusiasts and friends who are very active in the Orlando community. They meet regularly and you can often find them participating in social events, car meets, or patronizing local businesses.

The CFBMW just recently hosted their 4th annual Poker Run in Orlando. For this event they teamed up with Angel Flight SE, with a goal to raise money for them. The Poker Run brought together 97 cars from various cities around Florida. Together CFBMW and its sponsors were able to raise $2300 for Angel Flight SE. We all couldn't be happier.

A Poker Run event typically involves a large group of cars or motorcycles. In this case, we are using cars and a set of slightly different rules. Everyone participating is given the first destination and a playing card. Then the group travels to 4 more locations, as they hit each destination they receive a playing card in an envelope. Then the best 3 poker hands at the final destination will win a prize.

Angel Flight is a non-profit organization consisting of pilot and non-pilot volunteers (Earth Angels).

Angel Flight is a coordinating service which matches health-care patients in need of long distance travel for their medical needs, with volunteer pilots willing to donate their time and aircraft to get them there.

Angel Flight Southeast serves the state of Florida. They're a member of Air Charity Network, an association of charitable aviation organizations comprised of more than 7,000 pilots who flew more than 22,000 missions for 35,000 passengers nationwide in 2006.
